That awful (style-wise) Honda Ridgeline is probably the closest you can get today to an El Camino in a new vehicle. Waaaa, I want mine back...
Hey, i really like the Honda Ridgeline, nearly brought one in fact. Then i changed my mind and looked at the Chevy Avalanche.
Then decided against a truck and brought a car.
The Ridgeline is exactly what I meant earlier when I mentioned that the car designers today seem infatuated with that "industrial look". It's BOXY!!! And that's okay for a friggin' truck(as my Silverado proves daily), but NOT for a "Specialty Vehicle" such as an El Camino which was, at least in my estimation, the perfect compromise(not a bad word, folks) between what a car should have(flowing lines) and a truck, which in the El Caminos case could be used as such. WHAT a VEHICLE, huh?!
(in other words....I CAN'T STAND BOXY CARS, even if they can be used to pickup that new water heater at your local Home Deport OR to throw a couple of motorcycles into the back of!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
