My latest addition to my guns is a SIG 556, only got to fire about 20 rounds so far but so far very accurate. Other guns include M1 Garand, Ruger Mini 14, Remington 03-A3, German 8mm Mauser, Ruger 30-06 (deer rifle), Ruger 77-22, Marlin 22cal that I won, Remington 11-87, 1800's double barrel shotgun with a damascus barrel. Pistols, a SIG 239 in 357 Sig, a 1911 that I built and a great shooter, Walther PPK/S, CZ52 another great shooter, and a Makarov. I am probably missing a few as I will hide them in the house and from time to time I try to find them to clean them and sometimes it's hard to remember where I hid them. Must be getting old?

Para-Ordinance P-12.45 Used to have a Remmington 870 12ga with folding pistol-grip stock and other goodies and a Ruger P-85 9mm. In college I got to play with an AR15, an AK47, a Glock and a Beretta, courtesy of my buddies. Good times.

Very true..... Heres another thing to consider. I was at a friends house for a Texas Holdem tourney a while back. That night I got knocked out early, and while wandering around the room I picked up a 45 that he had sitting on his bookcase. He told me "Carefull, its loaded." I put it down and asked, "You allways leave your guns loaded?" He said "Yeah, if its not loaded it might as well be a rock because its useless if it isnt loaded." He's got a loaded pistol in every room of the house. I would hate to be the guy that ever broke in while he was home.
Doesn't seem like the most brilliant thing to do, leaving a loaded gun laying out in everyroom of the house cause then if someone broke in while he was sleeping, if the robber didn't have a gun when he came in, he'd have one really quickly.
Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."

hmmm...seems there be a few mighty "tough and scary"(and scared) people around these here parts. And so...I'll just be over here behind this coach all by myself with my Pop's old side-by-side 12ga(the craved stock on it is pretty cool, I must say), and my trusty S&W snub-nosed .38 if anybody needs me! (that's my arsenal...I hope it's enough)

Mainly handguns (with a 10/22 and a 12 ga for good measure) .22 to .44 and every caliber in between, on some I have several of each. Carry gun is either a Glock .40 or a Ruger SP101 depending on the wardrobe and the weather.

I just carry my itty bitty S&S .38SP+ hammerless stainless 3" with the laser light on the trigger... But I have a couple others, just had to sell a Ruger target .22 heavy barrel and a Hammerli Long Colt .45 revolver. The .22 came in a package deal and the .45 is too big for my hand.It slips. Cash is nice. But I do have a Colt .45 Gold Cup Trophy in stainless. Used to shoot on an Army pistol team, but sold my old Gold Cup to one of the guys a long time ago. I still prefer the sights on the old one. Still have the .22 Clarke High Standard, but need to find a good gunsmith, something is jammed. Have a couple little rifles...Ruger 22 mag and .223, and a couple of shotguns, Bernelli 18" and a Winchester 1500 32". Need to put the anti kick spring in the Bernelli, tho. Will pbly sell the Win. I need a nice little .22 rifle. Mary

If I may ask, how do you carry the Glock? I have a 23 and find it too large for concealed carry. Just bought a Bersa .380 for that purpose but would rather have the .40 is possible.

Don't own a fire arm. Learned in the military I can't shoot worth sh@#. I'd move before living in fear. Collecting fire arms never interested me and I never had the opportunity to go hunting. Although, I'd like to try hunting sometime ...... ..... with that said, I'd fight for your right to continue to own a firearm. It's nice to know they're available when needed. Tap dancing near the political here, my apologies. Regards, Tom

Stupid me-I let my carry permit expire years ago. I used to carry a Colt .45 officers model in the colder weather and a walther ppk in summer. I used to work part time for a gunsmith and in lieu of some pay he built me a bowling pin comp gun. It had a compensated barrel, titanium sear and trigger. It would feed semi wadcutters all day long without a jam. I polished it to a royal blue. Nice toy. I also had a Colt M1911 series 70 in .38 super engraved from the factory. I was always careful handling that one! If I decided to get my permit again, I would probably get a Glock .40 compact. I really liked the feel of it-even better then a comparable SIG.

It's the model 27 so it's plenty compact and like Dog said, small of the back.

gave my glock 27 to my nephew,,AFTER buying him a s&w compact 9mm for his 21st birthday.... cleaned it [always clean a new firearm],, decided i'd best not give the lad a pistol that might not "act right",,,test fired it,,, gave him the glock he asked for in the first place,,,,,,,can anyone read between the lines here???? those smith m&p's are some sho'nuff stuff,,,, if you're in the market for a ccw,,,do yourself a favor,,,take a look.

Actually, the 27 is the sub-compact. The 23 is the compact. I prefer the 23 due it's slightly larger barrel length and the standard mag holds 13.

Got lots, Some of interest, a Walter P38, my father brougt back from germany after the war. A 25 beretta that was my grandfathers, of 1908 make I think. All sorts of stuff, mostly just stays locked in the gun safe these days. I used to hunt, shoot clays, and just for fun. These days I only do when my 13 year old twists my arm and drags me outa the house. Not very often.

So by now I think it's safe to say that collectively, the membership of BA.com has enough weaponry to take Panama. My goal is to get one each of the main battle rifle used by all the countries that fought in WWII. Just because. Forgot to mention I also have a Federal Curio&Relic Collectors License.

I would like to get another M1 carbine I used to have one and it was fun to play with. It was my knock around gun on the farm. Not accurate compared to most of the other guns I was used to but good enough to shoot groundhogs and such.

I bought an M1 a couple of years ago as a play gun, fun easy to plink with. But with the cost of ammo, its the 22s that are the go to for play now. I might buy an FN/fal next 308 surplus is still cheap and easy to get. Feeding the SKS and Mini 14 has gone way up due to the war.
