Whenever you use a link for a picture you have to be sure it includes an identifier like jpg, jpeg, bmp, tif etc. The link you posted is a path to the image for the database and wont work here. Right mouse on your picture here and click properties and you will see the jpg as the last of the string. Thats what tells the board its a picture to be displayed. You can link that to a url by doing {url=thepath}click here{/url} The { to be replaced with [ click hereYou fixed it while I was typing but will leave this a bit in the event anybody else didn't know.

My father and I share 2 civil war springfield armory trapdoor 45/70 carbines. Love those. They are subsonic, so when you shoot, you hear the bullet hitting the target at 100 yards. I also have an M1 Gerand 30/06 from WWII and a 45/70 Craig from WWI. Great fun all of them.

I am a complete menace and danger to myself. Tripping over things cutting myself frequently. Working in the garage can easily lead to a visit to casualty, even opening a can can be disastrous. The thought of a gun in my hands fills me with absolute horror. Sorry guys I know you like guns but for me it would just be another way to show how much I can really screw things up. I wouldnt really get a 2nd chance to make a mess of things. So I will leave them there guns in your (hopefully) capable hands.

I live in smack in the middle of Bubbaville , the Bible belt , cholesterol belt , gun belt . Everyone around here has lots of firepower , hand guns , long guns , you name it . A while back an Atlanta suburb city named Kennesaw actually passed an ordinance that made NOT having a firearm a misdemeanor . Really , look it up .

While I can't find any official stats, the indications are that Kennesaw has seen a reduction in crime rates.

I see your point, and I couldn't agree with you more. See a gun is object which requires a force to act upon it to fire it. Requiring someone to load it (correctly) aim it (safely) and shoot it (accurately). If any of these things are off by just a little things happen that people regret. Bullets return fire when hitting hard surfaces. Watch the link below. This is true and last time I checked it is the city with the least violent crimes and about zero break-ins in the Atlanta area. I guess criminals prefer to attack individuals that they know are NOT packing heat.

I have a couple of black powder pistols, a 16 guage and a couple of my favorites from when I was in the army, an M1911-A1 pistol and an M1 carbine. I'd like to have an M2 or M3 carbine and one of these, http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg32-e.htm but they frown on civilian folk having fun. The M3 submachine gun was brilliant. It was made mostly of sheetmetal. You could make it work even if the entire trigger group fell out and it didn't cost you 2 months pay if you lost or broke it like the M1 rifle or carbine.

The funny thing about that is that the right to bear arms is derived from English Common Law. Edmund Burke, as well as most of his contemporaries, considered the right to self defense as one of man’s natural rights. Thank God for written, as opposed to unwritten, constitutions. It’s also ironic that our revolution was started largely over taxes and was triggered by a move on the part of the British to confiscate firearms in Massachusetts, the state with almost the highest taxes and most restrictive gun laws.
There was an interesting article in a recent NRA magazine about the British Olympic pistol and rifle team having to move to Switzerland. So, have the crime rates in Britain plummeted as the citizen disarmament proponents predicted?

On the contrary. This from the BBC :- How much gun crime is there?
Gun crime has increased in recent years, including a near doubling of handgun offences since 1996, the year of the Dunblane massacre.
In 2001-02, there were some 22,300 firearms offences, a rise of almost a third on the previous year. The number of people killed by firearms was 23.

I have a few, and for some reason I have taken a real liking to the Ruger 10/22 rifle. I have 3 of them in diffrent configurations. One looks like a mini sniper riffle, one looks like a special ops rifle, and one is in pieces awating a new stock from my father in law.
Other then that i have a Kimber 1911, a Ruger P19, Bersa 380, Glock 22 and a S&W 347.
Few long guns, 2 870 Express model 12ga, one is set up as a riot gun, the other is a tac shot gun.
a single shot 410 a old botl action 30/06 and a Benlli semi auto 12ga.
Now jessica on the other hand ( remember she use to be a cop) Has more guns then most pawn shops around here do. Everything from a .25 all the way up to a Desert Eagle 50cal. 2 custom built rifles not sure of the size, both look like Marine sniper riffles, and 3 or 4 shot guns. Thats all that i know of. She does a lot of buying and selling of hand guns so who knows what she has..
All of my guns are in FL and most of hers are as well. We keep a ruger 22 target pistol for home protedtion other then that Jessica has her stuff sent ot her dads place in FL.
Oh and guys just incase you wanted to know. She was the only female sharp shooter on the police force. so like she says" go ahead and run, you just gonna die tired".

Notice all of the attractive young females "dissapearing" only to be found later nude and decaying ? Heartwrenching senseless tragedy . My daughter has a .410 derringer with 00 buck 3" mag . shells . Carries it everywhere . I taught her how to use it and if threatened to a "point of no return" , use it with uninhibited deadly force . May save her PRECIOUS life one day .

Love guns grew up with the complete Stevens collection and the complete Winchester collection as well as Sgootzens and Winerocks ,Ithinca,Flip breach 45-70s and so on. We had over 500 rifles my grandfather was a collector , wrote for magazines, gunsmith, did his own photagraphy and so on after he retired. He collected and worked on his own his whole life and had his FFL. Sadly most of those went at auction after his death. I have some toys but would never list any online.

I learned something a long time ago. Only the bad guy knows when the violence is going to start. A lot of police every year are killed. The tragedy is, they had a gun.
If the bad guy has his gun in his hand and you have yours in your holster, you lose. Period, its over.
One problem with carrying a gun is it may make the reasonable man brave longer than he would usually be. Sometimes it ends badly, very badly.
Here in Texas a man shot a burglar, only problem is he was not the victim and nobody was in danger. Now that "murder" is a tragedy.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Got a few myself and a ruger in the bedroom closset where only the wife and myself know where the clip is, made her practice (in the dark) locking & loading, told her center mass, keep firing till you hear a thud... Too bad not one of thoose 30 or so students or teachers (who were murdered) at that Virginia college had a weapon, might be a few more still alive today. Would be a sad day when only the bad guys have guns....

to each their own,,,if you feel safer un-armed,, good for you. i'm not gonna debate this "issue" on this forum,,everyone is certainly entitled to their own choice.my first line of defense, for myself and my loved ones, is me. for sure the police will come to "protect" you if you are able to call them,, can you hold out 'til they get there?? it might be best for someone to pick your house to get up to no-good,,for them,, instead of mine.

Very true..... Heres another thing to consider. I was at a friends house for a Texas Holdem tourney a while back. That night I got knocked out early, and while wandering around the room I picked up a 45 that he had sitting on his bookcase. He told me "Carefull, its loaded." I put it down and asked, "You allways leave your guns loaded?" He said "Yeah, if its not loaded it might as well be a rock because its useless if it isnt loaded." He's got a loaded pistol in every room of the house. I would hate to be the guy that ever broke in while he was home.

Heck yeah! NRA Life member...holder of CWPs for three states.
Carry an HK USP40 Compact, and the closet holds an M1 Garand (Springfield Armory 1943) and a Mauser K98k (made in CZ under German occupation 194?, with all the you-know-what stamps intact). Currently shopping for a subcompact in .380 or better to fit in my Love Leathers gun vest.

Guys the original question was for what guns do you own. If this turns into a discussion about gun rights then it will be locked. Just a warning.
