Triumph does offer a luggage rack without the sissybar. Or at least they used to...

That is the only route I know of to get where you want to go.

Check the classifieds...

There are 2 luggage racks - one takes the place of the pillion seat - which won't work for you - and the other one requires the additional side brackets (that fit over the rear fender brackets) and the sissybar. It hangs out the rear over the license plate bracket.
You could install everything but the sissybar, but that would look kinda dumb, IMHO.

Sounds to me like you're talking a custom fabrication here...

I had the stock Truimph luggage rack on my speedmaster with the gunfighter seat. Utility=great. Looks=awful. I sold it in the classifieds here a few years ago. I have since put on a Corbin solo seat/backrest with pillion and wish I still had the luggage rack. I have the fender mounted rack to put in place of the pillion, but I'm not really that happy with it. I tend to just strap stuff on top of the pillion with one of those bungee nets.

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Here is what it looks like with the luggage rack sans Yota er sissy bar.

Don't pay attention to the hangers as that is what happens when BBQ and Yankees collude. Or the lack of a sprocket cover as someone had to clean Nobby's chain...

I considered checking this option before I settled on the rack w/ back rest. It may or may not work...

If you want to retain the seat and not use the Triumph rack that is made to accompany the bar, check your local Harley dealer. They sell a smaller version of the 'solo' seat type (welded wire v. bar) that MAY ( I repeat - MAY) fit in the remaining space between seat and tag bracket. It is considerably smaller, but if it fits the fender contour it may fit your need.

Aventura do a full PRACTICAL luggage kit (not cruiser saddlebag style). Their sports rack is worth a look.

Look at 'fitments'

You can use my luggage rack with the gunfighter seat. Picture below. Sissy bar is removable.

Available in black from Brent (no longer make the Chrome ones)
