Finally got up the nerve to install this horn I got for Christmas...I'm not what you would call particularly handy. Bottom line is that I followed the instructions-unusual for me- and IT WORKS!
Temp was about 55 and so off for a ride, trying the horn every chance I had. Still works! And it's really loud, too.

Did you split it up and mount the compressor in a hidden location?

Hey Ed, matter of fact I hid the compressor inside the fuel tank and the horn is under the seat
See you in Dahlonega, SteveB

I mounted my compressor under my seat and the horn in front. Kinda looks like a normal horn...

Alright, how do you go about splitting up the horn and compressor?.

I was just kidding about the compressor in the tank... but if the horn and compressor could be split up, now that would be way cool.

It can be done. But beware, I couldn't get mine to go back together and make a good seal... You basically have to pry the thing apart. I'd have to see a pic of one to be more specific... I had a bunch of 1/4" id clear plastic tubing from work that I used to connect it.

I haven't seen the thing, so I don't know how good the compressor is. But when you separated the compressor was there a noticable delay for the horn to sound?

Barely noticable but yes its there. A tap produces a toot. That's what I was worried wouldn't happen, but it still works.
