Trapeze (with Glenn Hughes especially, Medusa and You Are the Music are killer..there's your hard rock remedy)
The Hollies (there's one that was forgotten, great vocals)
Wishbone Ash (king of the harmony leads, great sounding guitar from Andy Powell)
Rockpile (Dave Edmunds, Welshman i believe, along with Nick Lowe)
David Bowie (the earlier stuff was great up to around Young Americans anyway...the stuff with Mick Ronson)
