Okay, it just feels like 1,000 miles.

And nothing beats driving all day from Alabama to the middle of Texas, going out to a Mexican restaurant, and finding out that you're in a dry county so you can't have a margarita with your dinner.

Sorry to hear you might be late to Prescott. My cell is 520-235-4281.

Its getting ugly may even be Saturday so will miss the canyon ride.

Here's my cell number, Ron(and for everybody else here...figured it might be a good idea to post it for all)....

Movies...a Grand Canyon ride? This Southwest Triumph Fest sounds like fun. Darnit Skillet, we should go next year for sure. Maybe we can camp on my sister's living room floor with a lay over over in Denver. It's just a measley 1065 miles from Tulsa and 1576 miles from Florence, AL.
Y'all have fun and be safe!!!

Like I told Dennis, hope to see ya next year Paul!

Depends on whether we are riding together from Vegas, or if you're waiting 'til Friday.

My Route, much more fun

Seeing on the AZ map 'Bagdad' always makes me smile.
Imagine living there and waking one morning to see on the news that military forces were about to decend on the 'other' Baghdad?

Maybe we'll have a ride over there and get pics at the town sign.

(Depends on what Dwight has planned, of course.)

Well, boys and girls, it snowed last night on Monida Pass. That's where I-15 intersects the Montana-Idaho border. I'm going to head that way and check it out. If it's not sticking I'll be fine. But if it IS sticking I'll try again tomorrow. Alternate routes are unlikely to be any better (there really aren't any alternative routes without going WAY out of my way).

Yea, they're calling for snow here tomorrow night too. Springtime in the Rockies . Bob and I had already decided to leave from Junction and go down through Moab and Monument Valley. It adds about 120miles to my trip, but we do an end run around the San Juans. Went over Red Mountain Pass last week (in a cage), and the road is in terrible shape, chunks missing from the edge in places.(That's bad, because there's no shoulder, no guardrail, Nothing for about 900' down.) So all in all, the longer way is probably better this year.

I'll be riding in the snow this afternoon, to take the bike in to have oil changed and new rear sprocket installed - I'm lazy!!!

Finals for the boy, one got moved to Wednesday this week. He is a senior so can't take it lightly. Tried to test out but they won't let him.

That is minor compared the wife and her stresses. She is a program director in the legal division of Texas Child Protective. FLDS is an acronym she will never forget. Her phone hasn't stopped for weeks. All day, all night. Its a mess.

Me??? I am ready to roll. Maybe I should fly to Phoenix and rent a bike. Just kidding.

My hat's off to her - read about what a horrendous administrative nightmare it's been (your mayor's op-ed piece in the Denver Post), much less all the emotional issues that go with such a situation. Better you get out from underfoot, and get your heinie on out to Prescott.

Made the Minnesota Iowa boarder, leaving late today last night was bad got to bed at 0300 after taking my daughter to the ER, all is well now. Trouble with trailer so finally took off leaving Blue behind

But more important, we are only 3 hours behind schedule and Judy is actually doing pretty well with the drive. So hope to hit New Mexico somtime tomorrow, or at least western Texas!
