Yep! HERE'S YOUR CHANCE, folks!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!!

If you've been hankerin' for any of Eddy's great inventory of parts and accessories, Eddy will bring them down to Prescott and you can get them at even a better price than his normally already great prices!!!

http://www.fasteddysports.com/

And so NOW is the time to start thinking about what you've been needing and/or wanting for your Triumph, and then send him a PM before Monday the 12th, the day before he's scheduled to leave for the Southwest Triumph Fest!!!

While I want tons of stuff from Eddy, I need something from a dealer. If anyone going to Prescott happens to be going by one between now and then, please ask if they have this part in stock. My front master brake cylinder seal is seeping (weeping?) just a little bit. I'm keeping an eye on the fluid level and I don't think it's cause for concern, but I wouldn't mind replacing it fairly soon. So let me know if you can snag one at your local dealer and bring it to Prescott.

Or... I can run by the Vegas dealership when I get there.

Give Pat Clark Motorspots a call John. They should be able to get it in time for when you're here if they don't have it in stock.

I'm bringing my jack and tool box with me again this year. If you want something more than just the minimal wrenches and what not, let me know.

Dwight is this the Route?

Ok - we will be doing that loop counter clockwise for those that want to know - entering the park at the East Gate from Cameron.

I have checked with my contact at the Grand Canyon about doing the Kolb Studio tour - its a maybe due to her being up at the North Rim working until Friday (& she might get delayed) and that Saturday afternoon there is something going on with the Park Rangers at the Studio at 3 pm which we can't interrupt (I told her that we were shooting for 1:30-2 pm to be there). Also, we may have to do 2 tour groups as the studio tour can only accommodate about 10-12 people at a time. So as of now that part of the Grand Canyon tour is a maybe. I'll know on Friday before we go. But it should still be a great trip, some good riding and wonderful scenery.

Hey all - 9 days to go!!!!!

What's going on Friday?

Seems like there's a choice here. Ride to Prescott on Thursday with Bill and Bob, or on Friday with FunkleHarleyTrumpet. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the update, Becky. Figured any direction(clockwise or counter-clockwise) of the ride that best works out for the stop at your friend's studio would be fine, at this point.

Originally I had planned on a medium length ride(of 80 miles) for friday John, but the more I think about it, seeing as how saturday's ride is going to be a pretty long stretch in the saddle(330 miles), and what with most everybody already "ridin' a fur piece" to get to Prescott anyway, I've been thinking that maybe we'll just tool around the town on that friday, which will leave us much more time for everybody to get to know everybody else at "HDQ" that day with the "occassional" beer in hand!

"Occasional" adjective 1. occurring at irregular or infrequent intervals .
Occasional beer? I don't think so Dwight.

Looking forward to seeing you all about this time next week - the Commodius Commodore and I will be there Thurs evening; no extended lunches at 4-Corners, no detours in the drop between Flag and Sedona, won't be calling from the 'Stop and Rob' up the road, think we'll find "home" before the sun goes down this time.

"Ahem".......

Occasional. adjective
2. pertaining to, arising out of, or intended for the occasion.

Therefore, all beer drank during the SWTF will be "occasional".

Occasional. adjective:
3. intended for supplementary use when needed.
So we'll need an occasional potty while drinking the more than occasional occasional beer during this auspicious occasion. (maybe that's what the fire hydrant in Dwight's driveway is for)

Harrumph yourself
p.s. Any Black Butte or Buzzsaw Brown?

Now John.
I don't drink a lot, I just enjoy good brew (or two) occasionally .
I learned a long time ago to limit my intake.

Interesting - for those of us (myself included) that "don't drink that much," for just the eight or so who were there last year, we could have re-skinned a B-17 with the amount of aluminum we went through...

Movies...a Grand Canyon ride? This Southwest Triumph Fest sounds like fun. Darnit Skillet, we should go next year for sure. Maybe we can camp on my sister's living room floor with a lay over over in Denver. It's just a measley 1065 miles from Tulsa and 1576 miles from Florence, AL.
Y'all have fun and be safe!!!

Good thing I'm comin' up early so I can ride 89A. I can't be in Prescott for 4 or 5 days without riding White Spar down to Wilhoit/Nowhere. I'll get the DTs and my right hand will turn into a claw.

Only 1065 miles from Tulsa? Saxtron has at least that far to come from San Antonio.

And speaking of Texas...It's about 1,800 miles from my house to the Georgia rally, and I think about 1,000 miles of that is across Texas(spit!). Every time I think about doing Georgia, the thought of crossing Texas puts a damper on that.

As a matter of fact Mr Investigator, I did some investigating myself about a month ago about getting a keg from the local brewery and bringing it up. The price was right, but then you'd be limited to just one flavor and this group seems to like a bit of variety in their malt beverages. I was thinking Dwight might've appreciated the minimal load to his recycle container. And IIRC, it was more bottles than cans. We went through a lot of Fat Tire and Deschuttes Black Butte Porter last year.

Linda and I left 3 or 4 in the fridge from the 6 pack we bought last week when we rented the FJR, so you got that to look forward to when we do the yard work out back next week.

Any word on the road being paved or not? Guess we'll find out on Tuesday. Got a new Metzeler 880 being put on the bike tomorrow. Might have to do a Mt Lemmon run this weekend to scrub it in.

We may be late but will not miss this.

Dwight, or somebody. PM me a cell phone for contact on the road to keep you posted. Or call this one 210-710-8719.

Its getting ugly may even be Saturday so will miss the canyon ride.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
