I took some pics of Dwight's driveway this morning and sent him a few. Hopefully they get this road paved by next month's festivities. Just about all the dirt before the telephone pole on the left and the big rocks on the right, is soft. Dwight says he's coming a couple of days early, and just driving his truck over the loose stuff should pack it down enough so it won't be a problem for the bikes to get through. The road itself is a piece of cake...hard packed without any potholes.

Was there yesterday - yep the driveway is a mess!!!! Dwight, we spoke to your neighbor next door (at the corner) and he said that the pavement is supposed to be up to that corner this week - we shall see! Glad I was in the truck yesterday. Its steep and the fire hydrant is kinda in the middle.

See you all soon!!!!
Becky

Dropped off some beer and water and some special burger in the freezer for dinner thurs night. Do we know how many on Thurs?

Thanks for the update, Becky. Now I'm thinking I should maybe get there sometime early next week to show them where I want them to put the driveway opening along the curb.

Also, thanks for taking the time to drive there and stocking up for the rally.

And as for who'll be there by thursday night, I'm guessing probably 3/4 of the crew at the time, maybe about 15?

Where do I order Knobby Tires for the Bonnies?
Say Dwight, I know my diesel 4x4 truck and 10,000 pound trailer could make it up your drive way, but in the attempt you might be missing a fire hydrant and a few trees. So AmyLee and I have made reservations over at Willow Lakes RV Park, which is only about seven miles away. If you think of anything we can bring to help with the supplies, let us know, we have plenty of room.

PS. We plan on being their by thursday evening, hopefully in time for the Que.

Looks like I'd better read the H-D rental small print relating to off road use.

What's with that hydrant in the middle of the drive?

Yep! That's exactly the route alright, Robert.

And...I know once the street is finished past my house, that driveway area shouldn't be near as bad as it presently looks from the pic Derek took(including that fire hydrant), but seeing as how the contractors of that project have been constantly behind in their schedule, getting that RV space is probably a very good idea.

Close John...but we actually have it there for the coyotes to use!

(in fact, if you look reeeeeal closely at the pic Derek took, maybe you can see the name "ACME" embossed along the length of it!)

YAY! Last night I bled the front brake and rode my bike for the first time this year. I'm feeling much more confident about my ability to attend. It doesn't hurt that the front end looks dead sexy in black powdercoat with fork gators...

COOL! I can't wait to see it, John. I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing to my BA for some time now.

Say Dwight, are you going to let everyone know how to get to your place, or do we just ride around Prescott until someone takes us in.

I was beginning to wonder that myself. Knowing my luck I'd end up in El Camino Village with nobody home...

He did post directions to his place last year but I'll be damed if I can be bothered to search for it

I was just going to wait until the day before I flew out there, THEN ask him

Yep! I suppose it "might be" a good idea to post the address of SWTF Central, huh folks?!

Okay, here she be:

935 Copper Basin Road
Prescott, AZ 86303

It's just about a mile and a half southwest of downtown Prescott's Courthouse Square and historic Whiskey Row.

Dwight, thanks for the map, glad to see I was not losing my mind with no address in 30 PAGES of talk...
You are right down the road, I'm in Mountain club of Apache Circle, scroll the map south til you see clubhouse drive and White Spar, it is there.
As for Copper Basin, FYI to all, the road is under construction. As off last week when we were up it was STILL dirt. At least the sidewalks were in.
Don't plan on me for Saturday, unless things change,
So, at your place Friday around 9:30??
jeff

Nope. Mine's black, Jeff. That avatar o' mine is a cropped down portion(thanks to Soren's fine computer handywork) from a picture I took on Sept 30, 2005(and couple years before I bought mine) during the 50th anniversary of James Dean's death in central California, where I knew there were going to be a whole passel of the Spyders congregated. I rode my BA up there to that event in order to find out from their owners the particulars of Spyder ownership. And the Spyder pictured was by far the most accuate reproduction of the actor's car there that day.

(and I figured using that pic as my avatar was kind'a apropriate, seein' as how I can also be quite the "little b*stard" around here myself sometimes...RIGHT FOLKS???!!!)

Ooh, it's already getting nasty and we haven't even gotten together yet. This is gonna be FUN. We might even be able to get some entertainment out of the prosecutor and the P. I. this year. But even if we don't, there's always Dwight.

I am soooooo going south! Going to bring some goodies along if anyone wants something special will discount it by knocking off the shipping that is rolled into my prices. Just let me know and I'll bring stuff with. Will be bringing the Grand Prize for the drawing with me too so you can haul it back with you or if your not able to I'll ship it to you from Dwight's can (I'll cover that).
