Hello folks!

I'm hopefully going to be ordering the SWTF Rally T-shirts on April 16, and so at this time I've taken the above list in my previous post and I'm putting the sizes needed by the names which I know at this time. Please hit the "quote button" on this posting and add next to your name the quantity and the sizes you'd like to order and then put an offical Barry Bonds-* next to it as confirmation and then enter.

Or, if at this time some unfortunate and unforseen change of plans have come your way(I'm thinking of poor ol' Steve up there in WA right now of course...BTW, get well soon dude) have taken place since you've expressed interest in joining the group for this FANTASTIC RIDE and RALLY(shameless plug there), then please also hit the "quote button" on this posting and next to your name advise me as to the lame excuse which you'll be using to miss this FANTASTIC RIDE and RALLY(sorry...shameless plug again), and then enter that with that-*.

30 days to go!!!!!!

I think I can make enough burgers for everyone on Thurs night - sorry the rest of you!!!!

Dwight, I'm gonna plan on making a run down w/ the truck to stock beer and water and put some special burger in your freezer the last weekend of April. I'll probably drop off the air mattress and a sleeping bag as well for the computer/guest room (so I don't have to haul it on the bike both ways).

Anything else you want me to do?

Oh, and I am bringing a guest! He doesn't ride a Triumph but doesn't ride a Harley (yet?) either - we've been doing a LOT of riding this month.

See ya soon!
Becky

Dwight -
Glad to help out!
My guest is riding a Suzuki Boulevard (sp?). And he's getting used to riding in back of me, so that won't be a problem . Actually I think he prefers that - I have to force him to lead sometimes.

Sorry Bob and Soren are not going to make it this year, maybe next. Still shaping up to be a good group. Have you had any confirmation from FastEddy and family?

I am going to check w/ my friend at the Grand Canyon and see if they can still do the Kolb Studio tour in the afternoon when we get there.

29 more days to go!!!!

Hello Again. I would like to withdraw my request for joining in the ride. I notice all PMs came to a halt after my request. Thank-You Big Bill and Dwight for your "Welcome" it was appreciated. I'll stick to my own. I thought "Harley Riders" were clannish.

Wow, where did that come from? What "PMs" are you talking about? Are you referring to posts on this thread? I think we're kinda talked-out. All the details have been arranged, all that's left to do is wait.

You're more than welcome to join us. The more the merrier.

If you're talking about posts on this thread, check out the dates of posts - there is often a few days between each.

Gilbert???!!! Sorry dude, but ahh...I didn't receive any PMs from you, but I did acknowledge your interest in attending the rally in this thread.

(I sure hope I haven't let my PM count go to 200 again, but I don't think I have....I'll check)

If you see this PLEASE reconsider your withdrawal, as I'm sure there had to be some sort of misunderstanding here.

Trust me. This rabble is about as far from being "clannish" as they come!

(all except of course that bigbill character who showed up at last year's rally wearin' that pillowcase over his head!!!...just kiddin' of course folks...Bill's about the last person on earth who'd ever do THAT!!!)

Nope. Just checked my PM count and it was CLOSE to 200(sittin' at 195), and so I'm not sure why this happened, folks.

(PM now sent to Gilbert, so maybe we can get to the bottom of this misunderstanding)

Hi There Dwight,
Just checking in, so you know were still out here, AmyLee and I are counting down the days. Also double checking on room for the Toy Hauler (19 feet)at your location. Point of Rock RV Campground is just 7 miles away, which would be our second choice. What do you think?
AmyLee's getting new Metzler tires, front and rear, hope to have them mounted, for a Relay for Life Run this weekend to break them in.
T-minus 23 days.
Robert

Hello Robert. Sorry, I forgot to get back to you about the length of the driveway in front of the house....

Yep, no problem...just like I thought. The last time I was there(about a month and a half ago) I did indeed check the length of it and the flat part of the driveway, right in front of the house, is well over 30 feet long, and so there's no problem that I can see with you guys parkin' your rig right there.

I will be stocking SOME beer, water ,and Thurs night dinner (ya gotta be there!) at the Prescott headquarters, this weekend!!
I have some Fat Tire and will have additional variety by Saturday, plus meat for Thurs BBQ and H2O.

I tried to invite Mert and her guitar, but don't think I was successful this year (so soon after the GA rally). Whats up with these Westcoast duds - no musicians!???!!
I can't even claim an I-Pod.

See you all in about 3 weeks.

Yep! That's where the "horn and woodwind sections" of the orchestra usually find repose alright!

(BTW...it's GREAT to see Bob's now going to attend once again!!!)

Well Bill, I'm a hopein' he ain't no TUBA!!! 'Cuz from what you guys told me last year, the other Bob from Colorado has already filled THAT chair in the orchestra!

Actually, after he reads the last few entries in this thread, Bob(odatbob, that is) will probably be VERY thankful he's told me that he's already reserved a room at the Sierra Inn down the road for the weekend!!!

Who ever likes to rib, will have a virtual feast on our "trailering", but of course, its also our Hotel room and Kitchenette.
Say FJ and odatbob could always park it next to our rig and join us at being trailer trash for the weekend.

The plan so far is to park the rig in Vegas and ride to Prescott. So you can take the brunt of the abuse...

The ironic thing is, in memory of my October ride over Monida Pass and freezing half to death, I bought a Gerbing heated jacket liner which arrived today. Then Bob gets the big idea to swing by Montana and pick up me and my scoot. That's irony, folks. Of course, the way the weather has been lately, we'll still have snow in 3 weeks, so I can use it on the morning commute.

I'm at rally central in Prescott after renting an FJR1300 yesterday in Phoenix and putting that touring bike through its paces. The entrance to Dwight's driveway is currently a mess due to road construction. Hopefully they'll have the paving done before the rally. Almost didn't make it up the driveway after doing some trench work with the spinning back wheel on the big Yamaha.

FJ...my wife could use that heated vest this morning, because it's a brisk 39 degrees here. Headed back to Phoenix this morning to return the rental though, so she'll be warm enough in a few hours.

Cy'all next month.

Oops, didn't change the login name. SalMaglie here, not Dwight.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll be down there tomorrow to drop off some goodies. I'll be in the truck, but I know that there has been construction. Lets hope its done in front of Dwights by rally time!!!!

I have my fingers crossed about the completion of the road work there, Becky.

I understand that they've finally poured the asphalt on Copper Basin Road about half way from White Spar Road to my house, and they're about to finish up the concrete curb work from there to just past my house and hopefully will also have the asphalt poured in that portion by the time of the rally.

And so...***ALL YOU RALLY ATTENDEES OUT THERE***...If they haven't finished this process past my house by the time of the rally, PLEASE BE CAREFUL when you're turning off Copper Basin Road and onto my driveway, as the dirt may still be rather soft at that particular junction and it would be very easy to have the tires on your bike "wash-out" right there!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
