We are taking advantage of our first 3 days off from the kids in more than 2 years to go to Vegas and party like rock stars. We are still taking the bikes but time limitations are restricting us from staying over night in Prescott. We are making the entire 420 mile trip to Vegas on Saturday and returning to Chinle on Monday morning. This will be my wife's first big trip so it will be more difficult on her bum than she realizes. At this point it looks like Ron(satxron) and his son, and Dan(DanB) are planing on staying at the Sierra Inn Motel, which is only about half a mile from my place. As the weather is usually pretty primo during the Spring in AZ, it can be a little busy with all the tourists at that time of year. And seeing as how Becky will be stocking up the fridge with all those primo beers, well, it might be a good idea to think about staying at that local Prescott motel at this time. And also because the rally is during the weekend, not only are there a lot of Out-Of-Staters visiting AZ at this time, but there also tends to be a lot of riders(and cagers) coming up the mountain from Phoenix for the weekend to escape the heat and visit the Prescott/Sedona area. At last years rally one of the scheduled rides was to Wickenburg which is located down in the valley, and when we arrived there it was already over 90F at about 11am, and we saw a whole lot of riders headed up the mountain and to Prescott going the other way. Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

It may only be 35-40 miles - but its all in the dark on a mountain road with citters!!!!!!! Not fun for the faint of heart in the dark!!!!! Or for anyone for that matter. Too far to taxi reliably too. So reserve a room in Prescott - see Dwight's prior info where Ron and son are staying or PM me and I can find some places to recommend. Can't wait!!!!! Becky
