I went out to my 'too cold to ride' garage this morning just to make sure my Speedy was tucked in and not feeling forgotten or neglected. I looked upon her smooth and sensually curved body before I got on her and made 'vroom, vroom' sounds as I looked forward to that one balmy day, when I could once again warm her up and ride her hard, long, fast, and loud just as we both like it best. Mmmmmm, can't wait...

I hope you started her up first otherwise next door may think you have lost it...

.....nothing as sad as the two green lights on the trickle charger glowing in a dark quiet garage with the leads disappearing under the dust cover.......

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

It was 16 this morning. When it gets warmer this afternoon I'm going to go out and caress mine...and vroom, vroom, vroom...

...On through the snow and the drivin rain,
to the forty-below in Bangor Maine,
to the hundred-and-ten in the Texas sun,
there ain't no road that we ain't run,...

Just get on the bike and ride it! I rode to work today in 25 degree weather, it's been cold but it is completely dry here with no ice.

As I was contemplating moving to Wisconsin today, I suddenly remembered that Rhonda would be very, very upset with me.

Upon recon yesterday, I found one road out of our complex without packed ice-so this morning I was on the Pearl (she started right up) and on my way-A bit cool at 34 degrees-but it felt wonderful-Had her out all day to do all my in town errands and appontments -it warmed up to about 40 later-I only did about 25 miles total, but well worth it.

The other day two women were talking in the checkout line at the grocery store I've owned for years. One said, "I saw a guy get out of his truck wearing shorts just now". The other said, "That's nothing, this morning (9 degrees) I saw a man get off a motorcycle here". "They must have been smoking from the same bag". My partner and the cashier laughed and the women blushed when they told them that the biker was me and that I didn't smoke dope. Get warm duds and ride.

Funny we saw 2 kids come out of Wal Mart yesterday with shorts on. It was in the mid 20s.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Well, on this note, I went on down to the garage, pulled the choke, and let 'er crank, and crank, and crank. Finally, after about a 5-10 second crank, she fired up and oh man had I forgotten how loud those Bubs are (especially in a closed garage). I let it run for about 30 seconds or so just to soak in the sound. Another 6-8 short (waaaaaaa) weeks and it'll be time to roll open the garage door and let her see the sunshine again!

JC,

I brushed against the garaged bike while dumping an armload of firewood into the wheelbarrow this afternoon. Does that count for anything? And no, taking it out for a spin is Definitely out of the question!!

I visited my cousin's in Little Rock last May. Seems like a nice little town. Went to the Clinton Library and over that high walking bridge.
