Howdy Folks. I talked with a seriously reputable individual today in regards to this subject. This person has an invitation to the Annual dealer's meeting that is coming up in July in England. He told me that in his conversations with the Triumph Product Development Manager, there will be 4 versions of the larger bike coming out this year. Did NOT say what size (1700cc-ish, maybe). I brought this subject up to him today saying "I've seen a picture of the 'rumored' 1700cc Triumph". He said, "Rumored? It's not a rumor. It's going to come out this year, in 4 different versions. The only reason it hasn't been out yet is Triumph saw Harley had a 6-speed, and Triumph wanted to put a six-speed on their bigger bike too".
I trust what this guy says. He never gave any credit to the rumors until recently when he talked with the head Product Development Guy at Triumph.
We'll see in July.....
