Mark, Victory makes a 1634 CC mill with 106 foot pounds of torque and 85 HP stock. PLENTY of power. You can do the ton 2-up easily.
It'll get 40 MPG minimum unless you're a real throttle slob. I recently got 48 MPG on my Vegas.
It's oil-cooled, and I've never heard of any report of these bikes overheating even in extreme conditions. Why would anyone want or need a big ugly radiator on a motorcycle?
The Victory appears to be bullet-proof. And even at 670-something pounds dry, it'll out-handle the Triumph twins.
Enough with the spy photos and jibber-jabber. Triumph needs to go to production with the 2009 Mystery Bike or go back to making bras.
