Holy ******...you guys can't be pleased can't you? You all want a large displacement bike with 100hp and 80+ ft/lbs of torque out of a parallel twin motor. Now let's just pretend this bike is the new large displacement twin and lets pretend further and say it does have the numbers you all desire.

Now I'm no expert, but depending on the stroke & compression this motor is going to put out a decent amount of heat. Most likely enough that the temperature won't be properly regulated by just an oil cooler and cooling fins on the head.

And...you all demand bullet-proof reliability out of this theoretical bike. It just so happens that there has been a technological advance or two in the past 50 years, one of them is to be able to properly cool darn near any engine with the proper radiator system. To a certain extent, I really dig what the Truimph engineers & developers are doing these days, which is striving to build a better bike for a better price. They don't rule planned obsolescence into the picture, they think if you buy a bike, ride the ****** out of it and it keeps going, then you'll get another Triumph.

And...you all make fun of Harley riders for their embrace of obsolete technology, so how's about you all put your money where your loud mouths are. I, for one, after I sell my BA and eventually run my Thruxton into the ground, will never own another air-cooled bike again. It just plain doesn't make sense. You wouldn't buy a car with an air cooled motor would you?
