I understand ya BOOZEfighter, my father and I are in the proccess of doing our own Jetting and intakes and I was looking at the FREAK, and I don't understand why it's $300. A friend of mine works in a machine shop and I get stuff made for cheap all the time, I just measure it, draft it in CAD, e-mail him the file, pick it up in a week or so.
My Father wants to just cut the forward corners off the stock air box to make room for the pods, this way he can keep the filter compartment of the air box for storage, for stuff you don't need at every second stop, so tire tubes, tools, etc. Also this way he can use the stock mounts for the tuperwhare panels, but I'm having issues making it look good and or functional, so I think I might just be doing the same steps you've done.
