Mine were peel & stick, CLEAN the surface first....put mine on within a week of purchase, i.e. a Triumph without knee pads looks funny ! ....that was 5 years ago...have not come off, not rubbed off on my clothing and the bike is ridden 12months out of the year (unless there is ice) ...
and yes, I wear my "pretty clothes" on her when I go to Church and like most men, I have the same "pretty clothes" I had 5 years ago....the gear shift rubber has left a mark on my wing tips though
