Oh I see but then how do you attach the carbs to them? They don't have a flange on the front of them.

EDIT: I just went and looked at them, there is still a rubber part that clamps to the carb so my answer on supporting the back remains unchanged and would even if there was no rubber part. To be honest I like the original design better than that clamp to bolted flange design.
