Thanks everyone, didn't get a chance to respond earlier as things have been pretty hectic at work and I haven't had the opp for much 'puter time.
Had a great day, I was working on an installation downtown and got finished by two in the afternoon so being it was the birthday the boss let me call it quits for the day. Good friend of mine works at the Field Musuem here in Chicago so headed down there and got the super secret only for special people pass. Got to go behind the scenes, stroll through the various labs, see things getting prepared for exhibits. Flesh eating beetles, the wall of wood, ect., ect. Truly a fascinating place.
As far as Georgia goes, looking forward to it! I started a new job a couple of months ago and made sure that the trip would not be an issue and was told no problem, last week that all changed... told I couldn't have the time off if I wanted to keep my job. Mass mailing of resume and cover letters and secured an interview, job offer and got it in writing by Friday that my time off for Georgia would be fine. I drop the bomb on the boss Monday morning! New job is fifteen minutes from my house on a bad traffic day and literally twice the pay.... so yeah, it was a good birthday.
