You did absolutely nothing wrong. That should not have been critiqued like it was nor closed.
If for some magical reason the powers to be don't like old threads used they have a simple setting in this php board to prune the forums.
You did not one bit of damage to the board, the members or the php database.
That said they owe you no explanation for what they do, get used to it.
