A bike is just a down payment on accessories.

Nope, someone just passed that thought onto me in an email from a RAT Pack email list. For some, it seems to be pretty darn true.

See, I thought that this was a place to put our thoughts for cool new accessories. Because I am a marketing genius, and after seeing the wonderful McCuff (tm). I have decided to enter the accessory market. First up: a small chrome tissue box that holds one of those little pocket packs of tissues for one side of the handlebars and a little chrome trash can for the other one (to properly dispose of the soiled tissues). If you have a full faced helmet, extra caution may be required. I am sure that if I can get Brent to carry them, I will make a fortune!!!
If there is enough interest, I may have them made in flat black for all you SpeedMaster folks as well.
Look out RIVCO... I am working up other equally wonderful ideas.

Ash tray perhaps and if its takes off (SIC) I want a %age of the revenue for my idea.

I am also thinking about a nice chrome magazine rack, like the ones on the stationary bikes at the gym. The Cagers read on the way to work, I am tired of being left out.

True, but "marketing Genius" is not the equivalent "regular genius" it is more closely akin to "snake-oil salesman".
Besides, everything in marketing is "self perceived". Marketing folks must be able make themselves believe anything... otherwise, how could they sleep at night?

GEEZ, guys! You want all these features, do ya?
Well then all ya gotta do is go visit your nearest Honda Dealer and ask the gentleman there about his latest model Goldwing.
(now those suckers come with just about every little creature-comfort one could ever wish for...STOCK!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

How about an electric adjustable seat? Maybe a stereo with a bass thumper unit? A simulated HD exhaust, for that trademarked V-twin sound? Spinner mags???? later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

Funny you should mention these items, Tom.
In the 2008 Honda Accessory Catalog, all those options are listed.
(except they dropped those spinner mags things after 2007....those are sooooo "last year", ya know)
