I like all motorcycles. Every one. If I had the money, I would have a bunch of them. Different ones for different days, different trips. Someone to maintain them, polish them, read Haynes manuals to them at night before they go to sleep. If I didn't like one, I would put it in "timeout" in the corner until it started to behave.

Whoops! Somebody mentioned Nazis, thus negating this thread. Blame Godwin's Law, "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one."

Yeah but FJ, I don't think I've heard anybody around here ever say that Hitler rode a Harley!!!
(though I think I recall somebody around here say they heard Field Marshall Erwin Rommel once sat his behind in the sidecar of a confiscated Ural when he was high-tailing it out of Leningrad one snowy winter)

I want to have his toys. Not sure I could get used to that chin, but to get all those wonderful things to play with - I could probably adjust.
I think that I would get the same wonderful feeling on a yama-kawi-zuki-moto-davidson that I do on Speedy. Total focus on the road and my surroundings, wind in my face, hitting the perfect lean on a wide sweeping turn... Priceless.
I could do without the "geezer magnet" quality of Speedy, though...
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax
