I got out for a few hours yesterday, and explored some of the surrounding NC counties. Thought I'd share a few of the photos from my ride. (I sometimes chuckle at the way people go out of their way to fit their bike in every photo...I did just that yesterday) Pisgah Covered Bridge in Randolph Co., built in 1911 and one of only two remaining covered bridges remaining in NC: My kids' favorite ice cream stand on US 220 outside Rockingham: Cool old barn around Candor, NC: Big house in Candor, NC: Ride safe, Will

that bridge reminds me of the movie, what's it called again? the bridges of madison county?
the only thing missing in that movie was a triumph. Clint Eastwood cruising with Meryl Streep... lol

No sign of Christopher Walken there...it was kind of spooky out there though.
I also found out that the original bridge was destroyed by a flood in 2003. This is a re-build.

I really didn't need to see roads with no salt on them!
Sorry about that, Eddie. We haven't had salt on the roads around here in at least four years. The kids got sleds for Christmas two years ago, and they're still brand new...
