Tank removal requires; turning off the petcock & removing the gas line (needlenose pliers), un-screwing one bolt at the rear of the tank (under the seat), & LIFTING !! Oh yeah, then pull off the vent hose (under the tank), & get your wife to hold the tank until you've completed the AI removal.
.. my dealer fitted the alarm / immobilser and there was a micro switch under the tank which scared 7 shades out of me when I took the tank off and the alarm went off .. in a small enclosed garage ......
