You will probably have to adjust your pilot screws. Look at this pic below that I stole from Pat's site. Although the bowl is off, it still shows the pilot screw in the center top (the one in the recess just above and to the right of the left Phillip's screw). It is inboard of the two wires on the bottom of the carbs.

This is an 02 carb and Pat already removed the EPA mandated caps to get to the screw. You may have the D screws. Take a small mirror and use it to look at the bottom of your carbs (pop off the wires first). If you see an aluminum disk with a very small hole in it, that is the EPA cap. If you see a D shaped screw head, well....

Regardless of year, the pilot screw location is the same.
