I like the color too, but there are too may different things going on with this bike. Black, silver, and chrome on the engine, white racing stripes and whitewall tires. I would like to see what he did with the taillight and turnsignals.

usually means there isn't one or it's a salvage title.

I've been searching Craigslist lately to see if I can find a cheap(er) America/Speedmaster to buy to replace mine and have come across this wild looking America:

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/520617893.html

There is also this America custom Bobber. I think I've seen this one here on BA before, don't know who's it is.

BTW, if you're looking to search a number of Craigslist areas easily, check out Crazedlist.com. If it's your first time, you may need to make a change to your browser settings - there is instructions at the top of the page. You may also want to avoid searching "all", it occasionally locks up my browser.

The description says the engine is polished not chromed, I would hate to have to keep it nice. I polished the whole crankcase and head on my 66 TR6C and it was work to keep it nice.

This thread is about custom Americas, so it should go in the customs forum.

Man, I love those white walls. I wonder how hard it is to keep them clean?

Oh, calm down. It wasn't an indictment, it was administrative.

Scary stuff.
A person could get to liking that TOO much.
I see there's a '68 Bonnie head with carbs for sale in Seattle.

Craigslist derail: I really miss listpic.com. It collected only those craigslist ads with pictures and made them searchable/browsable by thumbnail. Then they got a C&D from Craigslist.
