Yeah what was said about CCA and such. However, in your case at least, you can get by with a 'pop the clutch' start. However, those with bad batteries cannot. You need a charged battery to run the sickle. the charging system will not keep it running. Your newly drained battery still has/had enough excited electrons to get er dun. A bad battery does not.
