In some days I will have the pleasure to present a bike that really looks GRIM!!
If I would have used other collours, the viking theme might have been more obvious. Now I went for black and silver wish looks grim but not vikingish.
Two small things remain:
1. Should there be some rubber around the locking bolt for the tank, to soak up vibrations??
(if so...where the heck did that piece go, darn)
2. Does any one know where I shall take some off from the flush cap, not fitting my TBA 06. Is it about broadening it up, cutting down on the lenght or the diameter??

Can't wait to see your pics when finished, I've been reading this thread and it looks like you have some cool peices on your bike! Answers; 1. yes there is a rubber mount for the lower tank bolt, it is rectangle shape with a circular peice that pushes through the hole from the bottom. then a steel washer on top of that. Hope you find it! 2. If the flush gas cap doesn't fit your tank it is probably a harley item??? The only way to make it fit would be to cut the nylon thread section off both your new cap and your stck cap, and plastic weld the stock thread onto the new cap you have.

Thank you for the info 
The cap is not for a specific brand i think, its sold at "bonneville america.com". Iv heard about ppl tampering with them to make them fit... (but I cant find that thread).
Anyway, will make sure to fix some photoes soon. Thanks for encouraging me.

LOVE the axes! what an original idea, that's something the guys at OCC would have done. Now I know nothing about leather but wouldn't it be ok to install the leather wet so it is already stretched?

It is an after market HD part it's right hand thread 83 or later XL,FXR,Dyna,Softail,or Roadking. Kuryakyn (sp*) part number 8309

Managed to make it fit.
(Also found the missing rubber part for the tank)
The only technical thing to fix before showing this machine ,is that digital cam of mine.

Well, I was afraid that if I applied it stretched it would shrink later. Lether is a strong material, it might have damaged my bike if it was fixed to the metal with screws.
Anyway, I have found a quite subtile looking solution, making it easy to remove the belt, and making it able to shrink and expand as it pleases it.
Ill show you tomorrow (a picture says more then tousand words).

Fenderbib made by a lether belt (also from a viking inspired pattern). The belt end is held by a small lether braid that is fixed to two rubber plugs. I used toes to get rid of the two holes appearing when I removed the piece holding plate/turning signal. The new bullet turning signals can also be seen...

Made the sprocket cover black and removed the "America" logo. (or rather, the airbrush artist did it). The axeplate is also visible. That piece got me inspired to have a viking theme...

Hers the handles I made by braided lether band. The ignition is covered by a medallion called "brakteat". These were made of coins. Its a replica from a archeological finding. The pic is blurry, sorry. On the medallion is the Futhark, meaning the rune alphabet. It was associated wiht wisdom (just like Odin) and believed to give luck and protection. You press the medallion to start the bike... The end of the handle have "Tricorn bar ends" bought at tribal acessories.

Here is another similar medallion. It is used to protect the key hole. It looks tilted, but it is held by a lether band so it can wobble a bit back and fort (less tearing on the fragile medallion). This pies is mostly in the way when you want to start the bike, hahaha. But I like the look so Im giong to keep it. I will take better pics of both medallions later, to show the cool pattern on them.

Very cool!! The tank turned out awesome, and the other pieces are great! Really like the axe heads and rear fender bib, but the tanks is just....wow!

Since its just a lether belt it was britty cheap to buy as well  To prevent sand from comming between the lether and the fender (bad sandpaper effect by vibrations) I glued some rubber fringes under the belt. These fringes are used to prevent draft in windows. To prevent the tip from curling by rain and sun I glued a piece of thin metal under the last section.
