On a Speedy with 16T gearing, the ton is about 6000rpm. And they'll pull it through a full tank and ask for more. You only need about 400 yards to hit 100 anyway, and less than 100 yards to stop, so there's plenty of places to fly.
Hard acceleration does mess with rear tire mileage, though, my Marathon is shot after only 5000 miles.

But it's worth it.
