III. You and Pat (read "Vicky and Jane") have made the sacrifice already. This way you can all attend the rally without weeks of personal preparation and expense. No setting up tents, coolers, barbecues, porta-johns, buying provisions, etc. And the planning you do is offset by the fact that you're 40 miles from home - you can go let the dogs out, replenish the pool chemicals, fire the maid, etc. without worrying about 47 drunken foreigners sleeping in your yard/basement/gutters.
It sounds like a win-win to me. 
As the dude that let the dogs out on more than one occassion, I'll agree with all said. You folks up yonder make a h3ll of a sacrifice for the pleasure of quite a few. It's time you get to join in the festivities.
