1973 Triumph Hurricane. Engine/Frame No TRX75 PH00930. Engine number stamped over BSA logos as you would expect on a genuine Hurricane. Manufactured November 1972.

A very original, good running example in excellent condition with good provenance.

Further details as follows:

* Re-imported from the USA by Burton Bike Bits in 1989 with 8,800 miles on the clock;
* Purchased by me in 1990, tidied up, registered and serviced;
* Original US log book and Burton Bike Bits receipt;
* Ridden most years since but currently on a SORN. Started regularly and runs well;
* All tax disks displayed during my ownership included;
* Now showing 18,155 miles on the odometer;
* Engine crankcases have never been split - head only has been off to replace a worn valve stem and tappets, clutch hub and plate has been replaced due to worn splines - other than that only small items replaced during servicing, i.e. zener diode, condensers, rear wheel bearings, rear chain, main stand spring, pushrod tube oil seals, silencers due to rot on originals, recovered original seat and new carb bodies and slides;
* Original wheel rims and spokes;
* Original fork yolks not cracked;
* Original tank seat unit with orange pigment mixed within fibre glass gel;
* Still running on points ignition but always strobed up at service so never a problem;
* Many spares included:
o grab rail;
o chain guard;
o fork yolks;
o headlamp bracket;
o original silencers dechromed and part repaired;
o two NOS genuine silencers;
o exhaust pipes;
o heat shield;
o seat;
o orange seat trim;
o Numerous smaller consumables, e.g. points, condensers.
* Well known bike within TR3OC owners club;
* Photographed individually with designer Craig Vetter at the 30th anniversary event.

All in all a well sorted, maintained and genuine bike in absolutely standard trim and fantastic condition. Feel free to request any clarification or raise any questions regarding this bike.

Genuine reason for sale - money required to invest in the restoration of other rare BSA models from roughly the same period. Also as I mainly attend track and rally events these days, I use another bike therefore this one is not used as regularly as it should be, so I've decided to let it go to another good home.

The bike is not being advertised elsewhere and therefore the auction will run the full course. A deposit of £1000 should be made immediately following the auction end via paypal or electronic transfer. Balance of monies to be received within seven days - bike will be released following clearance of final payment. The bike can be delivered within a reasonable distance for an agreed fee if required.

Please be aware that you are bidding to buy not just to view. I reserve the right to withdraw any bids from bidders with poor or no feedback. The bike can be viewed by prior arrangement, hence the longest auction running time being chosen. The bike is sold as seen and no guarantee or warranty is given or implied.

It's certainly fetching a nice price £10.000 or $20.000 wish I had a couple in the garage

Still one of the best looking specials triumph ever made. perhaps the never yet seen 1500 twin will take its styling from it. Wow I really hope so I'd be first in line (with my wifes permission of course)

Blessings

Wouldn't it be special if they planned to get Craig Vetter involved?

Don't mean to sound jealous but you suck! If I could afford to collect classic bikes that would be one of them.
