Thanks all.

This 48th birthday was one of the oddest I have ever had. No riding, no partying, just a sense of thankfulness. I spent the weekend with my family in Tampa Florida. My Dad had surgery at the Moffitt Cancer Center on the campus of USF this past Friday. He was released Monday afternoon. His surgery went well. They had anticipated the worst and encountered the best. Dr. Frank Vrionis removed a tumor from his lower lumbar area and said he believes it to be a highly treatable low grade lymphoma.
Dad says that the reason for the medical stuff, i.e., the pain in his lower back is gone. Seems the tumor was placing pressure on his nerves. That pressure relieved, he'll be seeing an oncologist for radiation after his incision heals up.

So you see, that although I had a birthday that was somewhat sedate, it was the best one I ever had.
