I think you should absolutely sell the bike. She doesn't see you as a biker and neither do you or the subject would never have been born.
A bike is the heart of a biker. Its like asking him or her to stop breathing so much and to smile less.
How to ask somebody you truly love to do that, I have not a clue. How to let somebody you truly love do that is an even better question.
