Don't sell the bike.
Otherwise you will end up a harley wannebe spending zillions of dollars for another bike in about 20 years, play acting that you are a "Biker", and calling everyone "Bro"! <LOL>
Seriously...How many guys do you know that sold their bikes, and regretted it until they got another one.... or even worse, never got another bike.
Both of you need to sit down and think..WHO is she doing all this stuff for? For her? for you? to impress other people who really won't care?
I got married in a military chapel, had a reception at a friends' house. Ummm... of course at that time I was in Hawaii, flew my parents in from the mainland, very small wedding.
What difference will all this stuff make in 5 or 10 years from now? Will all those guests at the expensive reception really care next year how much money you spent?
How about a nice cake and punch reception in the church hall after the wedding, and that's it. Maybe a fancy dinner at a posh restaurant for the wedding party afterwards.
Basic principle.....KISS...
Keep it simple, Stupid... <BG>
A different view.... one of my friends bought herself a used RV... she lives in it and travels. she also bought a trailer to take her bike with her. While she likes to ride, she is not a biker, but what I would call a "casual rider".
She was worrying about getting the bike on and off the trailer by herself... and posed the question to me..."Do I want to be defined by my bike?"
Which I think meant.... is having and riding a bike important enough for me to keep it?
So my question to you is.... how do you want to be defined?
In any case, Good luck!
the idea for the property sounds good, but that's another thread...
