I could be wrong, but I suspect you'll feel nice about it in the short term, but a year or so down the line you'll regret it. Then you'll resent her for selling the bike to pay for the wedding. And resentment leads to ill feeling and then..... well I'm not gonna go on.

If she really loves you, she'll marry you regardless of what is spent on the wedding....and yeah, I always thought that the Bride's family was supposed to pay. My dad is happy me and my sisters are not looking at getting married...as there are 3 of us it could end up expensive for him!
