Didn't say I am definitely going to sell the Speedy, just looking at ways to free up some cash, and selling the bike is a possibility (no matter how far-fetched). There are also other avenues of cash generation that I'm considering that I won't expand on at this time. Her folks ARE pitching in, but they aren't rich. We have already pared down a lot of options that brought the cost down from the "Astronomical" category into the "Still Very Expensive" realm. She is important enough to me that I definitely want her to have a Very Memorable Wedding Day, but I really don't want to put the balance on a 'card' and be paying for it for the next 6 years. Kind of a ******-if-I-do-and-******-if-I-don't situation. BTW- SHE doesn't want me to sell the bike so please don't think it's her idea. I just like to know what ALL the options are, and I won't overlook anything if I can help it.
Along with the wedding, we are also looking really hard at a few 20+ acre parcels of land to buy. We figure a homestead in the NW Arkansas hills would be pretty sweet. Some of those acres might even be useful as a "Motorcyclist Friendly" campground with an assortment of plumbed cabins and "Pitch a Tent" spots at some point. The "Bikes, Blues and Bar-B-Que Rally" held in NW Arkansas every October is growing larger every year and the accomodations are sparse to say the least.
I really appreciate the inputs you all have given, even if they didn't really answer my question. I hope everyone here has a wonderful New Year.
