okay what is the AI ....

The Air Injector system, you see the actual injector next to the spark plug. They connect via braided line to a valve unit under the tank, that connects via hoses to the airbox. Generally, and some have done it other ways, you remove the injectors (plug with appropriate size bolts), remove the valve body (2 bolts) with hoses attached, follow the rubber hoses to the airbox and cap the newly unused holes with plugs.
The AI injects air into the exhaust stream at low rpm to 'clean up' the exhaust for emissions reasons. The result is the exhaust is more hot than necessary when idling and turns the pipes blue.
There's no performance reason to remove it. There may be one or two who've not taken it off and are ok running with it. Some have expressed concern that removal will void the warranty, but unless you drop something in the head before you put bolts in the holes, and then try to run it, warranty shouldn't be an issue. If you get a used machine, I think it would be unusual to find one with AI still installed.
