Where we live every (shudder) HD that goes by shakes stuff
off the walls! All my pre '70s Trumpets run straight drag pipes and the new America sounds like a p***y bike! Going
to Sceptre for sure!

Septers, Mods or Thunderbike, yep, ya gotta do something. I fired mine up yesterday just to listen to it (and run stabil through the carbs)!

I kept my pipes stock for a year, then I drilled some holes, recently I knocked out the last 2 baffles. I also eliminated the air box and changed the jets but I am real happy with the way it sounds and runs..... for now.

The stock pipes sound great, unless you are sitting on the bike. Then you hear the gears in the engine spinning. You take that stock exhausted bike under an overpass and you will say to yourself, YEAH. I put BUB's on my America. Now cars can't wait to get away from me ... Yeah, LOUD ...

I'm looking for a Triumph america, but my curriousity is how do the stock pipes sound? Are they very loud? What are the best options for pipes here in the states other than doing the baffles, and im not sure how to do that I couldn't completely understand.
