I understand there are "homemade" airbox removal techniques that can be done for a fraction of the cost but I am not "handy" enough to proceed with any confidence so I have opted to go for a professional alternative.
I have come across 2 Air Box Removal Kits. One from British Customs & another from New Speedmaster. Both the same price. Is one better than the other?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Newspeedmaster kit and just looked at the kit on the BC website. The biggest diff is going to be the plastic toolbox with the Newspeedmaster kit and the metal box with the BC kit. I personally like the extra room I have with the Newspeedmaster kit.

I have the BC one, the toolbox is huge and nice to have. However, mounting the cheese graters on the mounts they gave me was a pain, they didn't line up, the holes were not in the exact place they need to be in, and I had to file out the hole to mount my side cover. They did tell me that some of the kits that were in stock had problems with holes lining up and they thought they got them all before shipping out, but I guess mine was one that slipped through. That big toolbox is nice, though.

I just installed one from Brent and found it was good quality and easy to install. I only had to change the one bolt that the kit came from as it was a tad too long. Other than that, my bike is without doubt, running better than any time I know and IMO it's a great mod

I have the BC kit and although the tool box is conveniant, the kit has otherwise been a pain in the A§§. The holes for the graters didnt line up and I made the mistake of "making" them line up.....it cracked the left side plastic about a week later. Also, the right side cover didnt want to "pop" in very well and I lost it somewhere along the Florida intertstate system. The kit has cost me an additional $120 in the replacement of these panels and a lot of headache. But hey, I got a great place to stash my registration in that nifty storage box, eh........
