I just put in a new battery because i thought mine was going bad, now im not so sure. After putting in the new battery i started the bike with the headlight pointing at the wall in my garage as i brought up the RPMs the headlight was dimming out and when it went back to idle the light was kinda flickering up and down and then go stable. My guess is when you bring the RPMs up it should go brighter NO????? whats up with ol speedy NOW any advice on charging

Yes, if the light output changes due to engine speed I'd expect it to get brighter when revving and dimmer at idle, indicating the battery's partially charged and the alternator's doing it's job. What you describe sounds more like the alternators not got any output and it's running the bike from the battery only. It can be an optical illusion so buy yourself a cheap multimeter/voltmeter (if you don't already have one) and check the battery both at rest and under load. It should sit at about 13.2V at rest and at idle, and 13.8-14.2V while revving. If you do have a problem get it to the dealer ASAP before the battery dies.

Cables and fuses....
Many a perfectly good battery have been replaced when the real culprit was loose or corroded connections. By all means, check it with a voltmeter. But check your cables and fuses as well for corrosion and solid connections.

Duane, Since Triumph no longer uses Lucas electrical stuff, I'd suspect corroded connectors or a slightly discharged battery (including a not fully charged new battery). I guess you have to ride it all winter to charge it up, huh? Just Ride It Safe, Dennis

I do not think its corroded connectors or anything like that i have had the bike since 03 and to date it has not seen a drop of water i am very careful to watch the weather before i go to work and have been lucky not to get stuck in the rain. Anyway i will get out the multimeter this weekend and check it out maybe a faulty rectifer or something the battery was suppost to be fully charged when i got it its one of the sealed AGM batterys i will figure it out this weekend thanks guys
