On the topic of lawyers, I see that Mark Geragos (sp?) is representing those 2 guys who were mauled in the Zoo over Christmas. Hmmm, not sure about you, but the fact that these 2 might have had slingshots on them when they were visiting the zoo makes me a tad suspicious.(or the fact that they weren't cooperating with the police) Hmmmmm....

I know, Greg! Appears maybe these guys may have been resposible to their own fate.(and unfortunately, the fate of that poor tiger)

Yep! Ain't it too bad they'll probably file their law suit, and if criminal charges are brought upon 'em, that the trials will be in...CALIFORNIA???!!!

I say...send 'em IMMEDIATELY to IOWA and have REAL JUSTICE prevail!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I think the tiger gave them a little instant justice. Too bad Michael Vicks dogs didn't get the same opportunity.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Well THAT'S because tigers ALWAYS use different lawyers than dogs do!!!

You see, those tigers have more money so natually they can afford better lawyers...especally those CALIFORNIA tigers!

Though the Detriot Tigers are "poor relatives", so their lawyers aren't quite as good.

(note to self: cut down watching all of those old Marx Bros movies...this may be having an effect upon my mental state lately)

Now Benny! I'll abide by your wise counsel here, but tell me dude, what harm, or indeed what AUP rule did I cross when I responded to Larry boast about his good Mid-Western Stock's abilities to spot BS so well, by posting a very mild reference to his state's Caucus process and my hope that said "good Mid-Western Stock's" ability to see through said BS would be confirmed by tomorrow morning's count, and then afterward referring to all politicians as "friggin' lawyers"(this thread's original topic, mind you) of which I inferred should all be somewhat distrusted to some degree?

(a sentiment I'm sure is shared by a vast majority of folks around here, if not all, and which I've seen posted many times at BA.com without narry a hint of being deleted)

Yours Truly,
Dwight

(BTW...I won't count this event into our new running total on the "Agreement Count" starting his year...either one way or the other....I'd just like to know what you were thinkin', dude)

You answered your own question a couple times in there

Speaking of which...I was at the Airborne Museum in St Mere Eglise, Normandy (where the 82nd and 101st landed the morning of D-Day), and saw a rather unlikely group of tourists - a squad of Bundeswehr soldats (in uniform) on what I assumed was some sort of unit-sponsored tour.

Oh the irony...
