The longest word isn't in Welsh?! That's a surprise. I think I prefer saying 'hill' rather than trying to wrap my tongue around that word.
funny you should mention that, Greg. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, in Wales has 58 letters (remember this it might come in handy in 34 days...)i remembered coming across something in my GA rally countdown research--yes research. i take this task quite seriously--about a place in New Zealand that is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records that is considered to be longest place name in the world. Edging out the town in Wales by, well, 34 letters.
through further research i found there is a place-name in Thailand with 163 letters. much longer than this year's countdown.
