Here is the Triumph I traded my guitar for in the late 60s. It was a frame and basket full of parts. I rebuilt the engine and transmission, then painted and rewired the cycle. I finally sold it to buy my fiancee's engagement ring. I did keep the Norton....Sold that when we had children. Back in the saddle when the kids finished college.

What guitar did you trade for it?

It was just a cheap Japanese Fender knock-off and a National dual speaker amp. I kept my bass guitar.

Ahhh.... the good old days. Kind of wish I had my old 73 chopper back. It had a savior amen frame with small spring suspension on the rear. I traded it for a car, 1961 Triumph TR3A. I still have the car in my shed, and have been waiting for 15 years for the time and money to hit at the same time to put it on the road.

Both cool, thanks for sharing.
I sold my '61 Sporty chopper when the wife became pregnant. 20 years later, I'm back.
The '73 T-bird (460 motor) behind it was traded for a Golf Diesel....
