I like the W and M bags. I am only a little concerned that they are a little too small for longer journeys, so perhaps I need to look for larger set.
Don't know how far or long you are planning to go, but the W&M bags were fine for my 7 month, 24,000 mile trip around the US. (when used in conjunction with the pillion seat and the luggage rack for luggage)

I have the Triumph brackets which I got with Triumph's fabric bags which are extremely small. They seem (the brackets) to be around the size of Nobby's extended version. Will the brackets I have be ok for the W & M's or larger bags?
I think that the brackets you have now will be fine for any bag that you want to put on. The only reason I extended mine was that I noticed a (slight) curving of the bottom of the bag towards the wheel. This may be because I tended to pack the heavy items first. The chain guard and the brake caliper will also help if things get real bad.
If you put in stiffeners as Moe has, there should be no problem at all.
