Gee! I don't know why exactly,
...BUT after re-reading this thread, I'm kind of reminded of one of my all time favorite flicks....."Inherit The Wind".(1960)
Now, if any one of you people out there happen to run across it soon, tell me, does the cynical acid-tongued newspaper reporter played by Gene Kelly(based BTW on N.Y. reporter H.L.Menchen) who's covering the "Monkey Trial" in this flick remind you of anyone around here??? (like maybe...ME???!!!)
Not to worry though for those more inclined to side with the Fredrick March character...you see, Mr.Kelly's snide character does get a dressing down near the end by Spencer Tracy, ya know!
