It is not special, it is a Triumph part, put one on my BA 1st thing...about 2.5 inches across about the same deep maybe a little less.....works great......wouldn't leave home without it.....easy install, followed the directions in the box , had the whole thing done in an hour.....and I am not mechanical.

I have a Drag Specialties mini tach that I was thinking about using. I read in the Tech Vault that it would fit. Are the BA tachs electronic or mechanical (with drive cable)?

Drag Specialties one works great for me. Changed the too-bright light for a LED, fogs up in bad rains, but for $65 I'm pleased with it. When I'm done with some other projects I'm moving the thing up onto the bars or somewhere up there in line of sight where it belongs. Stock location makes for a clean, professional looking job.

Does it require the single fire adapter?

Works right out of the box. Got mine on ebay for $65, its this one. #244138. Easy instructions in the tech vault as far as what color wire goes where.

Cool, thanks! That's the same one I have (was gonna put it on my Kawasaki). I'll just wait and put it on my upcoming BA!

+1 for the Drag Specialties tach. So easy to install, theredhead did it herself.
