Thanks Frank.
Love the oil pressure guage, still in the "tweak mode" on the new rear shocks. So far, so good.
Thanks, Jim

Very cool.
Just out of interest are those rims on your speedy the latest 2007/8 rims or are there 2 different kinds. Mate of mine recently got a speedy and his rims are polished with the rear almost a solid disk ?

Did you make the front turn signal bracket yourself? If not, where did you get it? It looks different than the Ma's Cycles bracket.
Watch that chrome front brake reservoir cap if it's factory Triumph. Mine seemed to want to leak.
What kind of saddlebag mounts are you running? They look similar but different than Easy Brackets.
Mine hasn't been that clean since March '02 when we loaded it in the pickup for the trip home...

FJ,
Front lamp bracket was made by Rat.net member Mag10. Works like a champ. Those aren't saddlebag mounts, they're custom fabricated "bungee buttons," with different length chrome spacers to suite my tastes.
Thanks!

Heh, your bungee buttons are much fancier than mine -- a 1" chrome spacer with a flat washer on the end.

Much appreciated Soren. I'm a rider for sure, but my real passion is tinkering in the garage. Nothing better than a fresh pot of coffee, some classical music on the radio, and new goodies to hang on the bike.

Ha Ha Ha!!!
Truth be told, I really don't have much seat time on the latest creation at all. Just got it late this year, and only ~ 500 miles on her. I guess I'd be better off answering your question mid summer next year!

Thanks so much Angelis!!
I got the VDO vintage voltage guage from eGuages.com

The cup & mount are Dakota Digital (expensive!!) But worth it to me. From http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/

Wow! Really like the lightbar and the dual amber light idea, How do the superbrights show up? Are they the $30.00 bulbs? Gauges look great too. Well who am I kidding, the whole thing is AWESOME.

Thanks much Mike. I just happed to like the look of the OEM turnsignal assemblies. So, when Mag10 said he'd fabricate me a mount for an extra set up front I jumped on it like no tomorrow. I'm using the 24 LED clusters in the "front marker lamps." They're not terribly bright, but they don't draw any power so to speak either. Still very functional & relatively cheap too. I've got these & the voltage guage wired to what used to connect the "peanut marker" bulb in the headlamp assembly. It's only a 5A circuit, so I don't want to over tax the existing wiring.
I'm using the Superbrightleds.com 1156-ALX5 5 Watt Luxeon LED's in the rear turnsignals, and plan on upgrading the fronts as well. Yes, these are the $30.00 each units. But they're the best LED units I've ever seen. Plus, they're a freaking work of art, truly. Go look at the engineering spec sheet on them. Very impressive (as they should be for $30.00 each!)
I'm just a sucker for well engineered components.
Thanks again & ride safe, Jim

That would be correct. I did however put 3500 miles (in 3 months) on my Suzuki M109 before unloading her.

And, 3900 miles on my RoadStar (over a few months in 2007) before trading in on the 109 (big mistake.)

And the RoadStar had almost 20k miles on her to boot. They both look fairly clean too, eh? I'm an anal son-of-a-****** when it comes to my play toys.

Not a problem at all. Actually, I'm sure if I scrounge long enough in the toolbox I'll find it!

Out of all those good looking bikes including what you have now, which one do you enjoy stepping off of at a bike bar for a beer the most?

Bob,
Hard to tell. I really do like the Speedy, but there were a few others in the stable in addition to the other two pictured above.
2003 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic

2003 Ducati Monster 620i.e.

If I had it to do all over again, they'd all still be in my garage!!

could you please tell me about your oil psi guage? where did u get it, does it work well. Did you have to use a longer banjo bolt to fit the extra line through? did u make the mount bracket? Imitation is the finest form of flattery and I am impressed.
