Take advantage of the Pound/Dollar exchange rate and visit one of the Triumph rallies in the US.

Cheap flights, cheap hotel rates, cheap gas, at two dollars to the pound, any on in the UK who has an interested in visiting the US should do it now.

A month or so ago I saw $2.05 to the £ but a couple of days ago, it was 'down' to $1.85.

The exchange rate given in the press isn't what Joe Public would get in the travel agents / banks etc.

Fingers crossed, I should be heading out there in May - I hope the rate goes back up again!

Well I am pretty booked up this year:-

May - UK meet "Dent" finally someone who wants us

June - Port Dover Canada

August - Euro Rally

October - Spain with the Mrs payback for Port Dover

Looks like a very busy year, also have to fit time for the 904 work to be done

I'm a bit of a sucker for the vintage rallies, so I reckon I'll take a trip to the Banbury Run or Founders Day, see some old freinds and check me sis and her brats are ok.

I'm also going to the Festival of 1000 Bikes at Mallory Park 12/13 July.... already booked my track session.....worryingly with the 3HW - even though it's still in boxes!

a track session on a 3hw thats the old OHV ain't it, maybe i'll gie my M21 an outing that should do 0 to sixty in a week or two, seriously though good luck with the restoration, if you want to pep it up a bit get hold of a book called tuning for speed, it's excellent for getting a bit more power from these more mature machines. I hadn't thought about the festival of 1000 thats pretty dam close to me sister maybe that would be laugh. Just had a look at the site Gina and my old teacher is running the grasstrack, pity I never got on with him.

Sorry it's taken me 5 mins to stop laughing! My dad has the same bike, except his is still in army get up (and will also be at Mallory) and I've ridden that. That has the orginal profile tyres on and just didn't want to go round corners. Would do about 55, downhill. But full of character. Not sure I'd want to go faster on it though, not sure it'd stop!
