So I've been thinking about painting my carbs for about a year now but never really got around to it because I didn't know what paint to use, didn't want the down time, excuse, excuse, blah, blah, blah. So whae I saw Zmilin's post it sparked my interest once againbut was still just thinking about. One night I got into the Vodka, don't remember doing it, but when I woke up the next morning I had a conformation e-mail for the paint I needed, decision made. So I get the paint the other day and go to work. When I got done my carbs looked exactly like Z's, perfect! Just before I started putting the carbs back on the bike I had the thought that although they looked great, I didn't want exactly the same thing that someone else had done so I got to thinking, came up with an idea, got a couple of second opinions and went back to work. The finished product... To match my black and sky blue tank...
Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."

Nice job. I wish I was industrious enough to do that kind of stuff.

Here they are on the bike. I was a shade or two off of the tank color but it was the closest I could find. No biggie if you ask me, I'm still happy with the result.

They look good, I want to paint mine, just have to find my little thing that I do different first. I like the dice (die?), nice touch. Oh and where did you get the nifty Spiderman engine mounts?

Looks good. I'd be tempted to paint the spots on the choke knob die to match the blue too.

I'm really glad you guys like them them as much as I do. The choke knob and the motor mount came from Vintage Titanium Spares. The dots on the choke knob... hmmm... looks like the paint brush is coming out again tomorrow... And Z, thanks for doing it firs, if you hadn't I might never have gotten around to it.
