It's a shame Triumph chrome doesn't have a better rep. Triumph had some of the best chrome plating of all motorcycles in the 60s and 70s. I've got chrome stuff from those periods that still look pretty good, even after years of riding and cleaning. I once sent engine side covers to the famous "Browns" in Texas. The primary case looked terrible and the other side not much better.
